More than five years has passed since we established ZENGEIREN, Association of All Japanese Promoters Recruiting Foreign Entertainers, for reforming and promoting the quality and awareness of the promoters and venues and for strengthening the communication between the government agencies and us.

During the past years, we have played our rolls under the guidance of the authority, including normalizing the residential status and protecting the talents human rights, improving their labor condition, or normalizing our industry.

In order to pursue our goals, Zengieren has been emphasizing that all of the member promoters and venues must be solid for industry’s future development. Although there have been some disputes, we are proud that Zengeiren directors and members have achieved this initial step.

We must be aware, however, that now is the transitional period for Zengeiren. We achieved some results so far, but there are many more problems to be solved such as extra-qualification activities or runaways. We promoters are responsible for giving the talents welfare and excluding extra-qualification activities, even if the Japanese Immigration authority or the government of the Philippines did not urge us. To solve these urgent problems, we must take necessary steps including periodical visit to the venues. To make our industry attractive and ourselves happy, we must make effort to change ourselves.

For promoting sound activities of foreign entertainers to make Japan a truly opened country, there remain many problems that our industry and the governments must cooperate to solve. However, we believe we can find the way when all of us including Zengeiren cooperate to each other.
